situation
der städtebaulichen ordnung der plaza ist ein orthogonales system, mit klar definiertem regelwerk (baulinien, -grenzen, traufhöhe) zugrundegelegt. drei spangen werden in nord-süd richtung entwickelt: die breite mittelzone mit arena, freifläche und deutschem pavillion wird östlich und westlich von jeweils einer spange halber bautiefe begrenzt. das system wird durch die diagonale haupterschließung in ost-west-richtung überlagert. standort ausbildung von klimazone_n als klarer baukörper in der nord-östlichen ecke der plaza. die ecksituation innerhalb der östlichen spange wird - unter maximaler ausnutzung der nördlichen baugrenze - betont. die wiederholung der überlagerung durch eine diagonale wird zugunsten der einordnung in die rhythmisierung der östlichen spange aufgegeben. gebäude maschinenhülle das gebäude wird entsprechend seiner funktionsbestimmung als maschinengehäuse entwickelt. die anordnung der aggregate wird in zusammenarbeit mit dem aufsteller hinsichtlich funktionsweise und wartung optimiert. die primären maschinenteile verursachen vibrationen und lärm und bedürfen auch aufgrund ihrer masse einer besonderen fundamentierung und abschirmung nach außen - die erdgeschossige anordnung ist zwingend. die kühlaggregate bedingen eine hohe luftwechselrate. die abluft wird nach oben abgegeben. bei bestimmten witterungsverhältnissen kann nebelbildung auftreten. dieser maschinenteil sollte aufgrund der beschriebenen auswirkungen den oberen abschluß des gebäudes bilden. es entsteht ein zwischenraum, der eine zusätzliche nutzung ermöglicht. thema natur existiert (im aristotelischen naturkonzept aus einer ersten materie, die völlig formlos ist) durch die vier grundqualitäten warm / kalt, feucht / trocken. in der klassischen tradition wird natur verstanden als gegensatz zum bereich des menschen: natur versus technik, natur versus kultur. natur versus gesetz oder satzung. zugleich wird sich der mensch, der sich selbst - als geist, seele, vernunft - in absetzung von natur definiert hatte, durch das umweltproblem drastisch seiner eigene natürlichkeit bewußt (böhme). naturschutz und naturvertägliche technik sollen diesen konflikt minimieren (bundesnaturschutzgesetz, umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung, emissionsschutzgesetz, wärmeschutzverordnung). - in vitro landscape - zwischen unterem und oberem maschinengehäuse wird eine transparente folie gespannt, mutterboden angeschüttet und intensiv bepflanzt. wärme/kälte, feucht/trocken naturiert einen, dem romantischen bild von natur entwachsenen lebensraum. klimazone_n ist natur, natur n-ter ordnung. eine allianztechnologie. das konkurrente verhältnis mensch/haus/maschine versus natur wird in ein symbiotisches überführt. nutzung klimazone_n ist während der expo 2000 ein informeller organismus, vorzugsweise auch verschiedener sich sich regelmässig nicht materiell repräsentierender organisationen: greenpeace, wwf, ..., liquid sky. special thankx 2 expo2000 hannover, sec, enerko architectured by b&k+ arno brandlhuber und bernd kniess plus eupener straße 57-59. d-50933 köln |
